There is more than meets the eye in this
striking kitchen! Designed by Ann Sullivan of The Summer House Custom Kitchens, the Whitehead family chose appliances that met their unique needs.
The items that were chosen included a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Dacor cooktop, single oven, convection microwave, and warming drawer, Vent-A-Hood hood liner, and Bosch dishwasher.
The
refrigerator, model 736, is fully integrated into the
cabinetry. This style allows the unit to become part of the cabinetry with no exposed trim or hinges. The handles are completely custom, and are designed to match with the rest of the kitchen's hardware. The top door is the refrigeration portion of the unit and the bottom two drawers house the freezer space. An ice maker is concealed in the bottom drawer.
Beautiful granite is the backdrop which showcases Dacor's 36" gas cooktop, model PGM365. With an 18,000 BTU power burner and 400 and 500 BTU simmers, this cooktop is ready to take on any recipe that comes it's way. The sealed burners and the bead-blasted stainless steel spill basin makes cleanup nothing to be concerned with.
The Whitehead's chose to keep the majority of their cooking appliances together. To accomplish this, they chose a 30" single oven, convection microwave, and warming oven by Dacor. The 30" oven, model MCS130,
features Dacor's Pure ConvectionTM. This option provides even heat distribution for each rack allowing baking of multiple items at the same time with even results.
With
the convection microwave, model DCM24, one can use solely the microwave function, for re-heating, defrosting, and that all-important popcorn button, or the convection may be utilized to allow browning and crisping when a second oven is necessary.
With
a temperature range of 100 to 200 degrees, the warming oven,
model MWO30, keeps
food warm, without drying it out, until it is ready to be
served.
Bosch's integrated dishwasher blends seamlessly into the cabinetry. The unit provides superior wash performance while operating silently.
